Activities

    The Confederation, as a representative of employers and enterprises,

  • represents and promotes the common interests of its members with the goal of creating an environment that is conducive to enterprise and employment while respecting ethical principles of business that will lead to long-term, sustainable prosperity for Czech society.
  • promotes, co-ordinates and defends the interests of its members in the Council for Economic and Social Agreement, which is the platform for negotiations between the Government, employers and trade unions with regard to fundamental political, economic and social questions.
  • by means of the media, informs the broader public about the views and positions of employers and enterprises, organises their common meetings and shapes public opinion regarding the requirements for economic development.
  • represents its members, as duly authorised by them, in the area of collective bargaining.
  • participates in public debates and presents its own proposals to influence political and economic decision making in the economic and social spheres at both the national and international levels.
  • co-operates with other organisations for employers, enterprises and professionals, as well as the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and other entities with which it shares common interests.
  • tracks and interprets world trends and industrial development in the Czech Republic, and especially the quality of the business environment, using the knowledge thus obtained to help shape the Government´s economic policies.
  • co-ordinates collaboration among its members, and uses its experience and expert knowledge to formulate position statements.
  • defends and promotes the interests of its members in negotiations of international organisations and institutions through representation in those committees and working groups of BUSINESSEUROPE that participate in creating employment policies at the European level.
  • provides expert support and assistance for its members negotiating individually in EU institutions, as well as through CEBRE (Czech Business Representation in Brussels), an information service concerning regulatory measures approved and in preparation.
  • works organisationally to promote trade relations between Czech and foreign entities by means of trade missions, conferences, bilateral and multilateral negotiations, and through the participation of its members in trade fairs, exhibitions and professional seminars.
  • organises educational and consulting activities to provide its members with information important for their activities.
