15th Session of the Czech-Taiwan Joint Business Council

Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic (SP ČR) in cooperation with CIECA (Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association), Ministry of Industry and Trade and Engineering Academy of the Czech Republic organized yesterday in Prague a meeting of Czech-Taiwanese business council to find Czech business partners for Taiwanese campanies.

President of the SP ČR Jaroslav Hanák and Sean C. S. Hsu, chairman of Taiwan's partner organization CIECA, today also signed a joint protocol on mutual cooperation between the two organizations.

"I believe that the visit of the delegation in Prague will be very successful and will bring concrete positive achievements," said in his opening speech the president of the SP ČR Jaroslav Hanák. He reminded that Taiwan is a major trading partner of the Czech Republic - last year, bilateral trade amounted  28 billion CZK while export from Czech Republic to Taiwan increased significantly.

Representatives of business and universities also discussed the importance of technical education and technical training for future careers of students and cooperation between companies and universities in the context of Industry 4.0.
