EESC Employers' Group conference: Global leaders or followers?

The Employers' Group of the European Economic and Social Committee urged EU policymakers to put competitiveness at the centre of the EU agenda and deliver an overarching Competitiveness Agenda.

Martin Jahn, Vice-President of Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, emphasized: “Only strong European industry can support transformation. With great sense of urgency, we need less regulation, stable and competitive energy prices, trade policy securing raw materials, easy to use transparent state aid and people with the right skills. That will decide whether Europe can manage the transformation. And whether industry will stay in Europe or leave."
