Confederation welcomes the Action Plan for the digital market

One of the main tasks is the nomination of the governmental coordinator for the digital agenda.

The Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic welcomes the approval of the Action Plan for the development of the digital market as an important step to unify the government's activities in the field of the digital agenda.

In the Confederation's opinion, it is a material of good quality that tries to embrace all the most important areas of the digital agenda which have been, from the point of view of the individual resorts, up till now completely fragmented.

The Confederation has been brought into cooperation with the Czech government and it tries to push through the idea that the Action Plan becomes the starting point for the of elaboration of all the governmental materials that are linked to the digital agenda.

The Confederation points out that it is absolutely necessary that all other strategic materials being currently developed at other governmental departments and units have been brought into accordance with the Action Plan. In the meantime, the Confederation proposes to update some chapters that are perceived as not-completed, for example the Reduction of the Administrative Burden for the Entrepreneurs or the Initial Education as soon as possible.

„We perceive the drawing up the Action Plan a step in the right direction," the Confederation's Board member Milena Jabůrková, responsible for the digital agenda field, said. „In the short-term, the Czech Republic has to resolve the most painful topics of its digital market's development to guarantee that the Czech Republic's answer to the EU Digital Single Market Strategy will be adequate. The main condition for the Action Plan's success is the nomination of the governmental coordinator for the digital agenda. This idea is, in the long-term, supported by the Confederation of Industry."
