Confederation's key requirements on the economic policy

The employers' organization formulated the demands at its general assembly in Brno.

The Confederation of Industry presented a list of key requirements over the economic policy of the Czech government during its annual general assembly in the Moravian town of Brno on Monday 14th September.

Digital economy

• To nominate a governmental coordinator responsible for the umbrella national digital strategy and the preparation of its implementation plan.

• To introduce the Digital by default principle for all new public services provided by the state.

• To adopt the Digital Economy Act Impact Assessment.

Energy policy

• To take a decision on brown coal use from the Bílina and ČSA mines.

• To nominate a governmental representative responsible for the nuclear energy.

• To prepare a package of measures in relation to the EU targets in the field of energy and environmental policy until 2020, respectively 2030.

Investment

• To prepare a proposal for the conceptual changes in the regulatory regime concerning the construction permits according to the system functioning in Austria and Germany.

• To carry through a law amendment to the public tenders.

• To prepare a conceptual change in the legislation regulating the activities of the Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS).

• To provide the backup for the measures enabling the implementation of the financial tools within the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF).

EU funds

• In negotiating with the European Commission, to arrange a 20-percent enhancement of the financial instruments' allocation limit for the large companies.

• To guarantee the conditions for a continuous realization of the large projects' further stages that has been started in the last programme period.

Other Confederation's demand concern the insolvency, research, development and innovation, ecology, education and labour market fields.
