BIAC sets priorities for the next two years

OECD entrepreneurs are promoting inclusive growth based on structural reformes.

The BIAC director general Bernhard Welschke has sent an open letter to the member associations on 18th December in which he expressed satisfaction with the results of the common initiatives in 2014. During the last consultation with the OECD member states representatives, the BIAC has stressed the necessity to promote policy supporting the economic growth, employment, structural reformes and free and competitive markets.

The BIAC encourages the OECD agenda in the field of investment and trade and tries to strengthen the flow of direct foreign investment and remove the barriers slowing down that flow.

Although the BIAC supports the OECD Action plan on base erosion and profit shifting and supports the OECD pilot project in the BEPS domain, the representatives of the organization are persuaded that this plan should not be perceived as an activity towards the elimination of fiscal paradises and suppression of tax evasion but more as an opportunity to improve the architecture ot the international taxation in the globalized era.
