Monaco-Czech Republic Business forum in Prag

On the occasion of the Prince Albert II‘s visit to the Czech Republic, the Confederation of Industry has organized a business forum.

More than twenty entrepreneurs from Monaco, the smallest country in the world with a nearly record income per inhabitant (64 000 euros per year), have taken part in the business forum held in Prague on Thursday 9th April. The businessmen from Monaco were mostly representatives of the companies in the energy sector (focusing on the renewable resources) as well as the information technologies, banking, real estate market, pulp and paper industry, cosmetics industry or tourism sector.

The main event of the business forum has been the signature of the agreement on cooperation between the Confederation of Industry and the Economic Development Chamber of Monaco (CDE). The agreement has been signed by the Confederation’s president Jaroslav Hanák and its counterpart Michel Dotta.

The agreement should give a strong backing to the present economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and Monaco. Both parts have talked about the possibility to organize a reciprocal visit of the Czech entrepreneurs in Monaco. To their Czech counterparts, the Monegasque businessmen have offered help with searching for new business opportunities in the third countries, especially in Africa.
