Radek Špicar elected Vice President of BusinessEurope

The Czech Republic will have a representative in the leadership of the European business confederation BusinessEurope. Radek Špicar, Vice President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, will be one of the Vice Presidents of Europe's largest employers' association from January 2022. He was approved for the position by the Council of Presidents (COPRES), the highest body of BusinessEurope.

Radek Špicar, Vice President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, has been elected one of the ten Vice Presidents of the Confederation of European Business BusinessEurope. In the twenty-eight-year history of the Confederation of Industry's membership in BusinessEurope, this is only the second time that the Czech Republic has had a representative in the closest leadership of Europe's largest employers' association. Radek Špicar will take office in January 2022.

"It is a great honour for me. I got this position thanks to the trust of the presidency of the Confederation of Industry, which nominated me for it, and the leadership of BusinessEurope, an organisation where we are among the most active and influential members. BusinessEurope defends the interests of business vis-à-vis the European Commission, the Council and Parliament. My position in its leadership will allow me to ensure that its policies sufficiently emphasize the interests of Czech companies and the Czech economy as a whole," says Radek Špicar, Vice President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic and from January also Vice President of BusinessEurope.
