  anniversary of the provisional application of the EU-Canada Comprehensive
  Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). The Agreement remains a core driver 
 of the EU’s privileged and very solid relationship with this close ally 
 and like-minded partner. The current geopolitical context creates a moment
 um for even closer cooperation between the EU and Canada.\nTo mark these f
 ive years of CETA\, the Delegation of the European Union in Canada and the
  Directorate-General for Trade\, in collaboration with the Service for For
 eign Policy Instruments (FPI) of the European Commission\, cordially invit
 e you to the hybrid public event ‘Five years of CETA: sustainable and re
 liable trade in uncertain times’.\nThe event will be held on the 21st of
  September 2022\, both on-line and on-site at the Marriott Hotel Grand Pla
 ce located at Rue A. Orts 3-7 in Brussels.\nModerated by acclaimed trade j
 ournalist Ms Maria Tadeo\, this event will showcase how CETA delivers both
  in economic terms and as a comprehensive agreement encompassing a broad r
 ange of relations between the EU and Canada and facilitating the digital a
 nd green transitions in both economies. In particular\, the speakers and p
 anellists will reflect on future opportunities stemming from the Agreement
 .\nThe keynote interview with Director-General Sabine Weyand will be an op
 portunity to discuss how CETA fits into the EU’s trade policy and how it
  responds to the challenges of today’s world. BusinessEurope’s Direct
 or General Markus Beyrer will participate in the keynote panel discussion.
