EaP Connectivity Seminar in Vilnius

Termín: 19. říjen 2022 8:30 - 17:00

Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Transport and Communications of Lithuania together with the European Commission and the European External Action Service are organising the Eastern Partnership Connectivity Seminar.

The Eastern Partnership policy remains a significant instrument which must be recalibrated and adapted to the current situation in the Eastern Partnership region. Even though, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia have their own individual tracks, moving at a different speed, the EaP initiative serves as a common ground and is beneficial for formulating common goals and instruments for the regional development, especially in sectorial areas of energy, digitalisation, transport and beyond.

In this context, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Transport and Communications of Lithuania together with the European Commission and the European External Action Service are organising the Eastern Partnership Connectivity Seminar, which will take place on 19 October 2022 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The meeting will be devoted to present the opportunities provided by the EU Global Gateway program and other regional connectivity frameworks, such as the TEN-T Network, the Three Seas Initiative, as well as other regional connectivity priorities for the Eastern Partnership countries.
EU Member States’ Senior officials and the 5 Eastern Partner countries (Belarus excluded) are kindly invited to participate. The format of the meeting is 1+2. We plan to start with an informal social dinner on Tuesday (18 October) and proceed with a full-day session on Wednesday (19 Ooctober). You will find more detailed draft agenda and the concept paper of the seminar attached below.

Invitation to the seminar was already sent to the EU Member States through the COEST group in Brussels.
The Agenda of the event will be regularly updated on the website, please check the latest version closer to the event.
