ICT sector should strengthen the Czech Republic competitiveness

The signatories of the recently published Proclamation of the ICT industry representatives and associations to promote the competitiveness of the Czech Republic want to intensify their cooperation with the government in Prag. The Confederation of Industry President Jaroslav Hanák has personally given his support to these activities.

Hanák hopes that the new government will pay far more attention to the ICT problematic than the previous ones. There are too many problems to be solved, e.g. the unspent money from EU funds and the low effectiveness of the public institutions, Hanák said.

The new coalition of the prime minister Bohuslav Sobotka ignored in its original government policy statement the ICT sector almost completely. After the Proclamation of the ICT industry representatives publication and the tripartite negotiations where the whole problem was criticized by the Confederation of Industry, the coalition included the ICT sector into the final government policy statement.
