Confederation of Industry has a new director general

The Board of the Confederation of Industry (SP) decided, on Tuesday 17th June, that the Confederation’s director of the external relationships‘ section Dagmar Kuchtová will become the new director general of the SP. Kuchtová will replace Zdeněk Liška whose deputy she has been for many years.

Kuchtová will officially assume the position of director general on 1st October 2014, but she will take over the function on 1st August.

She wants to increase the Confederation of Industry influence in the regions and, in cooperation with the member associations, to gain new members. She is also determined to strengthen the reputation of the Czech industry in Brussels and promote the positive image of the EU in the Czech society.

In 1983, Kuchtová graduated from the University of Economics in Prague. For the Confederation of Industry, she has been working since 1994. She speaks Englisch, German, Russian and French.
