Every sixth Czech exporter is interested in China market

China could become a far more attractive destination for the Czech export than in the previous years. That is the result of the survey by the Confederation of Industry realised among the domestic companies and confirmed by a considerable interest showed by hundreds of Czech entrepreneurs during the two-day conference of Local Leaders Meeting/China Investment Forum 2014 taking place at the Prague castle since Thursday 28th August.

The main host of the conference is the Czech President  Miloš Zeman. As for the China side, it is the vicepresident of the State Council of the Chineese Popular Republic Zhang Gaoli and the members of the delegations of the regional governements taking part in the conference. The Confederation of Industry is represented by its vicepresidents Stanislav Kázecký and Radek Špicar and the new director of the International relations section Dagmar Kuchtová. Present at the conference are the representatives of many member companies of the Confederation.

According to the survey, approximately one sixth of the Czech exporters considers China a territory of export interest. The potential interest for the China market is yet higher. Four years ago, more than one fifth of Czech exporters were interested in China.

„China market is very perspective for the Czech exporters,“ the vicepresident of the Confederation Radek Špicar said. „The fact that the Czech companies can assert themselves on the China market was confirmed by the success of companies like Škoda Auto, Linet, Brano Group or Lasvit. These companies as well as other ones were able to establish themselves on the China market.“

„The Confederation of Industry will go on supporting the Czech exporters to assert themselves on the China market,“ he added. „The next business mission to China with the participation of the Czech Prezident  will contribute to this effort.“

The business mission is planed for the fall of this year. It represents one of the turning points in the history of strengthening the trade relations between the Czech Republic and China.
