Czech entrepreneurs on a business trip to China

Together with the Czech president Miloš Zeman, more than fifty Czech entrepreneurs have flown to the People’s Republic of China on Wednesday 23th October. The business mission is organized by the Confederation of Czech Industry and headed by the Confederation’s president Jaroslav Hanák.

„It is important for us that, after ten years time, the Czech president came to China accompanied by our entrepreneurship delegation,“ Hanák said. „This suggests that there are no more obstacles in the official relations of both countries. For the business, it is a good signal.“

First, the delegation will visit an important industrial center Chengdu in the Sichuan province, in the South-Western part of the country. In preparing the business trip, the Confederation of Industry has cooperated with the province’s government as well as with the embassies of both countries and the Czech Trade agency.

The programme of the business mission includes a gala dinner and a business forum in which politicians and business representatives will take part.

„It is a good idea that the first place our delegation will visit is Chengdu,“ Hanák stressed. „The cooperation with Chengdu businessmen is a priority for us. Several Czech companies have yet found trade partners here.“

Next place the Czech delegation will visit is Beijing. Here, the programme of the business trip has been prepared in cooperation with China governmental organization CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade).

In Beijing, a seminar Bank of China, whose organizational backup is provided by the PPF, will be held and the confederation’s president Hanák will meet the representatives of China business.

The Confederation of Industry actively supports the cooperation with the People’s Republic of China for many years. The Confederation’s representatives intensely negotiated on a thaw in mutual relations and visa politics and have organized a lot of business missions and encounters with China delegations in the Czech Republic.
