Business mission to Jordan and UAE

A business mission of the Confederation of Industry led by its president Jaroslav Hanák that has accompanied Czech president Miloš Zeman on his official journey to the Middle East visited Jordan and United Arab Emirates. Part of both visits were, among other things, entrepreneur forums co-organized by the Confederation.

One of the main topics of the business forum in Jordan capital Amman in which 150 entrepreneurs took part was energy, especially the nuclear one. Jordan wants to build nuclear reactors and strengthen the local resources‘ rate in the total energy mix of the country.

„Our companies have a series of references from yet realized projects and they are keen to succeed in the Jordanian market,“ the Confederation’s president Jaroslav Hanák said. He has stressed the role of perspective branches as electric devices, chemical and petrochemical industry devices, automated management systems or environmental protection technologies.

Within the business forum, a Memorandum on strengthening the cooperation between the Confederation of Industry and the Jordan Chamber of Commerce as well as a memorandum between the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade on bilateral cooperation enhancement in the sphere of electric energy, renewable resources and energy, nuclear energy and gas rationalization has been signed.

Another entrepreneur forum has been organized in the United Arab Emirates‘ capital Abu Dhabi. As Confederation’s president Hanák stressed, in UAE, the Czech glass, sanitary technology, IT, steel, food and construction industries have been traditionally successful.

At the forum, Hanák has spoken about the possibilities of cooperation in energy, especially in nuclear energy, and other branches. In the event, Czech prezident Zeman took part as well.
