Manager of the Year: Beneš and Ceralová Petrofová

The winners are the director general of the ČEZ Beneš and the director of the PETROF society Ceralová Petrofová.

In the Prague Žofín palace have been declared the results of the contest „Manager of the Year“ on Thursday 23rd April. The absolute winners of the prestigious award for the year 2014 are the board president and director general of the energy concern ČEZ Daniel Beneš and the general manager and director of the piano-producing PETROF society Zuzana Ceralová Petrofová. In the ceremony, the Czech president Miloš Zeman, members of the Czech government and four hundred top managers took part.

The contest is traditionally organized by the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, the Confederation of Employers‘and Entrepreneurs‘ Associations of theCzech Republic and the Czech Management Association. The prestigious award was handed over symbolically to this year’s winners by the Managers of the Year 2013 Karel Žďárský and Jaroslava Valová.

Czech president Miloš Zeman, under whose auspices the contest has been organized, congratulated to the winners personally. The award has been presented to the winners by the Czech first deputy prime minister for the economics and minister of finance Andrej Babiš, deputy prime minister for science, research and innovation Pavel Bělobrádek, minister of foreign affairs Lubomír Zaorálek, minister of environment Richard Brabec and vice-president of the Senate of the Czech Republic Přemysl Sobotka.

Within the ceremony, the expert for the strategic planning Zdeněk Souček has been ushered in the Hall of Fame. The organizers of the Manager of the Year contest have declared the results of the Best Essay student competition as well, held within the Year of Industry and Technical Education’s initiative organized by the Confederation of Industry in 2015.
