Survey among companies confirms growth recovery

Czech economy continues its positive development in 2015 as the data for the first quarter of this year show.

The optimistic predictions of the last months have been supported by a regular survey among member companies organized by the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic.

According to these data, Czech companies stay slightly optimistic as to the further economic development of the country. The macroeconomic predictions in relation to the investment activity in the next six months and especially in the second half of the year made by the Confederation have been confirmed by the survey.

Most respondents said that the question of gaining the external resources doesn’t represent any hurdle to their investments. According to them, the availability of the bank credits is very good or standard and in the next twelve months, they await improvement of it.

Slightly optimistic are Czech companies as well as to the job creation development. They await that the employment in the Czech Republic will growth 1,5 percent in 2015 and one percent in 2016.

Czech companies are persuaded that the input prices growth won’t influence the output prices growth. They don’t await a more significant growth of production prices.

As to the average wage increase, the respondents say that the pay will grow 1,7 percent in 2015 and 1,5 percent in 2016.

The capacity utilization rate in the industrial sector has been at a very solid level of 84,4 percent in the first quarter of the year.

The survey indicates that the tempo of contracts‘ development is staying at positive values and that the demand, especially the foreign one, will continue to grow.
