Confederation’s head received important prize

The Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic’s president Jaroslav Hanák has received the Czech Association of Scientific and Technical Societies (ČSVTS)‘ highest award, the Christian J. Willenberg medal, on Thursday 28th May. The prize has been handed over to the Confederation‘s head by the Czech minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek.

This year, as the ČSVTS celebrates the 25th anniversary of its foundation, the prize has been awarded to nine personalities, under others to the World Federation of EngIneering Organizations‘ president Marwan Abdelhamid.

Hanák has received the prize due to his permanent interest in science, research, innovation and application of the research’s results to the industrial practice as well as to his support of the ČSVTS activities.

„I greatly appreciate the fact that the prize has been awarded to me,“ Hanák said. „And I greatly appreciate the work of the Czech Association of Scientific and Technical Societies which includes more than seven dozen societies and associations of technical branches‘ representatives.“

He spoke about the common interest of both associations in supporting the technical branches and mentioned the Year of the Industry and Technical Education declared by the Confederation and its partners in 2015.

Similarly to the ČSVTS, the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its foundation these days.
