OECD week in support of investment

Czech Republic is one of the Ministerial Council meeting's vice-presidency countries.

An OECD Week has been opened in Paris on 2nd June 2015 whose part is an OECD forum and an OECD ministerial conference (MCM). One of the vice-presidency countries is the Czech Republic which has sent a large governmental delegation to Paris.

The main topic of the OECD conference is the „Unlocking Investment for Sustainable Growth and Jobs“. A new OECD Economic Outlook will be presented during the OECD week as well. The discussions will be focused on the role of innovation, entrepreneurial milieu promotion, trade, investment and development.

The OECD forum will be held under the motto „Investing in the future: people, planets, prosperities“. The panel discussions will be focused on the investment unblocking, dealing with the inequalities, access to the markets, transfer to the low-carbon economy, pension systems, startup companies‘ and entrepreneurs‘ support, new industrial revolution and investment in development.

At the OECD forum, the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic will be represented by its vice-president Radek Špicar and Ivo Hlaváč, International Relations and ČEZ Regulation director. The Confederation of Industry has actively participated in the formulation of the common message of the OECD employers‘ and entrepreneurs‘ associations affiliated in the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC).
