ArcelorMittal is the Employer of the Year

This year’s annual awards prizegiving was part of the Year of Industry and Technical Education campaign.

A Sodexo Employer of the Year title as well as awards in other categories have been given out at the gala dinner in the National technical library in Prague on 16th June. This year’s ceremony has been part of the Year of Industry and Technical Education campaign organized by the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic in 2015. The ceremony has thus been accompanied by the conference „Will the schools educate quality talents for us?“ linked to the Inspiration festival of cooperation between the schools and employers.

Two top categories have been secured by the representatives of the industry and automobile production sector. The ArcelorMittal Ostrava is the winner of the award in the category above 5000 employees, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing in the category up to 5000 employees. A progressive employer up to 500 employees is JABLOTRON ALARMS.

To the ArcelorMittal Ostrava‘s victory, the Confederation of Industry’s vicepresident and the ArcelorMittal Ostrava‘s HR and External Relations director Jan Rafaj said: „As the strong sides of the company, we consider for example the high level and diversity of the benefits granted to the employees, the development activities presented to them and the emphasis put on the career shift both for the white and blue collars from the internal resources due to which we are among the top-ranking societies in the Czech Republic.“
