Confederation supports electronic records of sales

At the Czech ministerial conference, Croatia presented its experience with the system’s functioning.

The Confederation of Industry supports the idea of introducing the electronic records of sales and its position has been repeatedly presented by its representatives within the Council of Economic and Social Agreement of the Czech Republic – the tripartite body of government, trade unions and employers.

The Confederation considers this measure to be such a tool against the tax evasion that it is accepted by most of its members. The Confederation took part in the negotiations with the Czech ministry of finance, and evaluates positively the possibility of a business-like discussion with the ministry‘s representatives.

„Our goal is to make the electronic records of sales a helpful tool that could improve the entrepreneurial milieu at minimum costs and with minimum additional duties for the honest entrepreneurial subjects,“ the Confederation’s president Jaroslav Hanák said.

The Confederation promotes as few exemptions from the electronic records‘ system as possible and refuses the lobbyingpressures to introduce exemptions for certain groups of entrepreneurs. The Confederation supports the electronic records of sales under certain conditions as a flawless setting of the system's technical support, ensuring thetrial operation or timelyandadequateeducation.

„In debating the idea, the professional as well as the general public is often influenced by certain myths and inaccuracies,” Hanák stressed. „Thus, we demand a professionally managedinformation campaign within which both the public and the entrepreneurs could be properly informed about the concrete aspects of the whole system.”

The Confederation representatives have presented their position at the specialist conference organized by the ministry of finance under the title of „Electronic Records of Sales: Experience and Expectations“ on Tuesday 16th June at which the representatives of the Croatian ministry of finance headed by the minister Boris Lalovac presented their experience with the introduction and the functioning of the system.
