Czech businessmen don’t want to lose Ukrainian market

The situation in the eastern part of the country has influenced the interest of the Czech exporters.

Czech exporters are further interested in the Ukrainian market. Their interest is smaller than in the previous years, but, among the most interesting destinations for the Czech exporters, Ukraine still occupies the 14th place.

Such is the result of the survey organized by the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic among the representatives of the companies that took part in a two-day consultation with the economic diplomats and directors of the foreign offices of the CzechTrade agency. The event is co-organized by the Confederation since 2002, and regularly, 400 representatives of the Czech companies take part in it.

This year, there were even 468 participants in the consultation and they have asked for 3130 individual meetings. The number of registered exporters asking for information about certain country is the best indicator of the interest shown in a concrete teritorium.

In the last years, Ukraine as a country of Czech exporters‘ interest has figured among the top ten countries. Due to the actual situation in the eastern part of the country, the interest of the Czech companies to do business with Ukraine has sunken a little bit. On the other hand, to receive information from this country is still larger than in the case of, for example, USA, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Israel, South Korea or China.

The conclusion made from the survey is that Czech businessmen are still interested in this export destination.
