Manufacturing is the driving force of the Czech industry

The Czech industry rose 4,4 percent in the second quarter of 2015. Its driving force has been the manufacturing which increased its volume by seven percent in a year-over-year comparison. Almost one half of the gross value added has been produced just thanks to the manufacturing industry.

„I'm enjoying the results," the Confederation of Industry's president Jaroslav Hanák said. „The key role of our industry has been confirmed."

Very important is the fact that the year-over-year increase of the economy is the largest one since 2007, the growth manifests itself, to one extent or another, across the branches and the investment is growing.

„These numbers, nevertheless, should not lead to complacency," Hanák continued. „There are many tasks before the government how to improve the entrepreneurial environment and help the companies. In particular, we don't consider the contemporaneous legislation in the investment field satisfying."

„At our general assembly in Brno in mid-September, we want to present to the Czech government a list of requirements that should be, from the point of view of the industry, fulfilled before the end of its mandate," Hanák added.

The Confederation of Industry points out that not all industrial companies are yet in a good economic condition. According to the August's survey organized by the Confederation, two fifths of the Czech companies have announced an improvement of their economic situation in year-over-year comparison while more than a quarter of them states that it has worsened. More optimistic are big companies with a turnover larger than one billion CZK (37 million euros).
