The average pay in automotive industry exceeded 1225 euros

The average pay in the automotive industry in the Czech Republic reached 33 209 CZK (1225 euros) in June 2015. In the year-over-year comparison, it represents a 3,15-percent increase (1014 CZK or 37,4 euros). Such are the newest data of the Czech Statistic Office (ČSÚ) supported by the information published by the Automotive Industry Association of the Czech Republic (AutoSAP) on 16th September. The AutoSAP is the member of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic.

As the AutoSAP president Martin Jahn stated, the domestic automobile production increase has an unequivocally positive impact on employment in the Czech Republic. This development is linked to a higher pay rise in the automotive industry.

Accordingly to the AutoSAP, the average pay in the „workers's professions" category (84 593 employees altogether) reached 27 405 CZK (1011 euros) in June 2015 which is 5,7 percent more than the average wage in the Czech Republic as a whole. In comparison to the same period of 2014, the average pay in the „workers's professions" raised 3,93 percent.

The average pay in the automotive industry exceeds the average wage in the Czech regions with the exception of Prague and South Moravian Region.

The number of employees in the AutoSAP companies amounted to 117 382 persons on 30th June 2014, which is 4153 (3,67 percent) more than one year ago. The number of employees in the automobile production was 2,3 percent (773 persons) higher than in June 2014. The suppliers raised the number of employees by 4,24 percent (3163 persons) in the same period.
