Business mission to Iran

Confederation of Industry is accompanying the Czech minister of Industry and Trade on his visit to Tehran.

More than 40 Czech companies are taking part in the business mission to Iran organized by the Confederation of Industry from 16th to 20th January. The delegation is accompanying Czech minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek on his official visit. The mission is led by the Confederation’s president Jaroslav Hanák who will sign with the representatives of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture a Memorandum of understanding.

„In signing the memorandum, we hope to start a closer cooperation that could help our companies to open the door to this economically perspective country,“ Hanák stressed. „Especially, we want to involve our companies in the restructuralization of Iranian industry. The potential there is enormous.“

Iran is a perspective market with 80 million people, large potential for development and vast natural resources.

In the mission, representatives of companies producing metal forming machinery and machine tools, hydraulic turbines, pumps, industrial fittings, water treatment equipment, electrical devices are taking part as well as entrepreneurs in the energetics, industrial automation, health care, spa treatment, pharmaceutical and automotive industry field.

Part of the business mission’s programme is a business forum in Tehran and Tabriz, which is, with its 1,5 million inhabitants, the fourth largest town in Iran.
